Celebrating 148 Years of Service on the Road

Celebrating 148 Years of Service on the Road

At the 2025 Pembrokeshire County Show, we were delighted to recognise the dedication of four of our long-serving delivery drivers, who between them have given an incredible 148 years of service delivering to farmers across Pembrokeshire.

  • Mr. Malcolm Davies began his career in 1976 at the Emlyn Branch, witnessing the society’s growth and the eventual merger that formed Clynderwen and Cardiganshire Farmers. Now based in Glanrhyd, Malcolm is mainly responsible for artic and bulker duties.
  • Mr. Mark Rees joined in 1988 at the Croesgoch Branch under the tutelage of Mr. Peter Murphy, before later transferring to the Letterston Depot, where he has continued to serve the farming community.
  • Mr. Lloyd Childs also joined in 1988 at the Letterston Branch under then-manager Mr. Eric Harries. He later transferred to CCF Head Office when it became a distribution centre, where he continues to play a vital role.
  • Mr. Aled Vaughan joined in 2000 at the Crymych Branch with Lyn Williams and has since become a familiar face across the northern end of Pembrokeshire, ensuring reliable deliveries to farmers in the region.

Together, Malcolm, Mark, Lloyd, and Aled represent the very best of CCF – dedication, commitment, and a true passion for serving the farming community. We are proud to celebrate their outstanding contribution and thank them for their many years of service.
