About the Role
Due to the relocation of the current Branch Manager in December 2026, CCF, Wales’ largest Farmer Co-operative, are seeking a motivated and experienced Branch Manager to lead our Gaerwen branch. Recruitment now will allow the successful candidate some months working alongside the current manager to enable him/her to take the helm as manager in December. As this branch has strong footfall and high sales volumes, the successful candidate must already have a proven track record in the management of all aspects of branch operations, ideally in the agricultural sector, ensuring excellent service for our customers while driving sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
✅ Manage stock levels, inventory, and supplier relationships to ensure seamless operations.
✅ Provide expert advice on agricultural products, catering to the needs of farmers, growers, and rural communities.
✅ Drive sales and implement promotional strategies.
✅ Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring an excellent shopping experience.
✅ Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations.
What We’re Looking For
✔ Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the agricultural sector.
✔ Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
✔ Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
✔ Knowledge of agricultural products and rural business needs.
✔ Professional Amtra qualifications would be a benefit, but training can be provided.
✔ Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to persuade and influence when appropriate.
